Debating on A New Rifle Caliber

6.5-300 wby mag in a light weight version ... check out the web site
And really how could one go wrong with that calibre ... long range .... big game... varmint
It's going to be my next toy!!!!!

If gun brass is stamped as a 275 Rigby its legal even though it is really a 284. Stupid law. However we have enough idiots shooting 270 rifles with 130-150 gr bullets across frozen fields at running coyotes
No 38 special but a 270 wby is ok

Anyway the 7 mm has a great following and a great hatred. I'm assuming those who hate it don't own one. Personally I prefer the 300 over the 7mm but I like heavier bullets. I see no issue with the 7 on moose and bear. I'd rather hunt with one who can shoot a 7 mm well than someone who is scared of their 300 or 338. Choose a bullet that will hold together and aim for the vitals

Do you think they are idiots because they bought a 270 or because of the bullet weight? What is the problem in your humble opinion?
