Well, since no one else has...
Picked up a few good items this month. Maybe the most interesting is a Chinese Chiang Kai Shek Mauser, made in June 1944 at the Hanyang Arsenal. It's in pretty rough shape, and pretty roughly made - a close examination of the thing tells me I should never shoot it! But that's alright, I knew what I was getting when I bought it. It actually gives me a new respect for the Chinese soldiers that went into battle with these things. Interestingly, the ideographs on the butt apparently indicate issue to local defense militias after the Communist revolution, which accounts for some of the hard use the rifle has seen.

M38 is on the way. Walked into Proline Shooters today with the thought "I might as well look around, but I won't buy anything..."
So much for that...
Husqvarna m-1907 "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG SYSTEM BROWNING".... 1920 to 1930 production. Marked for the Swedish Army 16th Infantry. In 9mm Long. If anyone knows how, or where to look to narrow down the year of manufacture by serial number please let me know.
Nice one. I breathed all over the display case on that one too. It's in sweet shape and just that little bit unusual.

How much and where did you find the Chiang Kai Shek rifle?
Also, I picked up a Mosin M38 as well from Frontier Firearms still waiting for it though.
Nice pistol. I have one myself with its holster and spare mags. Shoots fine, ammo used to be a pain to find but you could get 9 mm Browning Long from one of the banner suppliers recently.
You can narrow down the year of manufacture by the slide stamping and inspector codes. Check this web site:
http://www.gotavapen.se/gota/m07/pist07_3.htm
It also explains the unit markings and has other links.
Beauty kit.. but is it the pic or my eyes that tell me that the barrel of your MAS has an upward bend in it?![]()
The slide stamping has it between 1920 and 1930. Could find the information on the inspection codes though.
