December -January or what milsurp I got for Christmas thread

Just picked these 2 Norwegian Krags up about a week apart. Top is an 1895 "Kavalerikarabin" in 6.5X55 and the bottom sporter is in 6.5x54.

Very nice.
Last week I saw a sportered Krag in 30-40 with a nice stock in excellent condition for $250.00.
Is this a good price in your opinion?

It's in the ball park for a sporter. They probably go a little higher in the US. However, last week there was a sporterized Krag on the EE listed at $450.00. I thought that high but it sold in a day. Don't know what actual selling price was though. For the sporter I have shown I made a trade for it. However, the fellow valued it at $270.00 and that came with a set of RCB dies, a bore snake, 25 rounds of once fired brass and 25 rounds of new brass.
I think though the 30-40 is not as easy to reload for as the 6.5x55. These Krags require lower pressure loads than what most factory ammo is. At least that's what most people have been telling me.

Rounded out my red collection:

-Late configuration (1970s) factory /306\ Chinese SKS
-Early 1928 Izhevsk 91/30 with brass caps on the handguard and brass on the sling slots
-Unrefurbished 1955 Tula SKS

Started a TT-33 collection:

-Unrefurbished 1951 PW wz.33 from Poland
-Modern Type-54 from China
-Unrefurbished 1950 TT-33 made by Izhevsk
-Refurbished 1952 TT-33 shooter

Berretta Gardone - 6.5 Carcano

Grandparent passing left me his guns one of which is this 1942 Beretta Gardone 6.5 Carcano. Don't know much about it, still researching. It is missing the wood top and medal clasp, along with the screws for the front and back of the magwell/action. Would love to fire this someday.

Arisaka T38 Cav Carbine. Has a cobbler patch on the stock for repair, bits of what looks like shrapnel and questionable stains in the wood. Rifles got some sort of history to it, thats for sure. Mums gone from it though. Anyone know where I can find a fresh-er looking M38 cav carbine stock?

Late Christmas present just arrived.
Thanks to a very generous fellow CGN member for giving me the opportunity to own this piece. Regimental shoulder patch in honour of my grandfather, for his and many others hardship and sacrifice to make a better world for us.
