I haven't bought anything in months.......got this as I'm shy a milsurp pistol for our newly added milshoot pistol stage. I know nothing about these, year made, quantity manufactured, nothing. C-broad-arrow marked on left side near the grip. Should be fun and accurate to shoot.

Very nice!

Although I can't make out the caliber marking, am I correct in assuming that your S&W revolver is .38 cal (which would make it WWII vintage) rather than .455 (which would be WWI)? Can't tell for sure because there is nothing in the pictures to provide scale, and you've blanked out the info on the tag ...

Anyway, for some information on 20th century Canadian military handguns, including quantities acquired, look here:

Thanks Grant!
Over 118,000 of these revolvers were purchased from 1939 through 1943.

Well i just bought a Broom Handle Mauser. This is my first milsurp (other then a bubba'd lee enfield). Here are a couple of pics from the seller. I will post more once i get it in my hands.

On a separate note does a colt police positive made in 1926 count as a milsurp?

Okay, I have not posted for a while. Not that I bought a lot of guns.

Well actually, I sold three so I had to replace three....

Matter cannot be created or destroyed....;)

First up, late October 06 purchase, (now for the confusing part.) This is the top gun and the middle stock. A 1944 Jungle Carbine...all matching metal..in a very nice sporter stock.

Now I was going to buy a JC stock set and put the nice sporter wood on my No4 sporter (it has an ATI stock), but then....

I spotted another Jungle Carbine for sale on the EE Board that had wood but was drilled and tapped....

That is the middle gun and the top stock, (yes I switched furniture). Now I have a JC in the correct stock.

I am also very happy with the drilled and tapped one, (I took the flash hider/bayo lug off), as it is very light and will make a nice deer gun. Especially with the nice sporter stock. Bore is excellent as well. The bolt is a mismatch. The other upside is the mag is a No1MkIII mag. Harder to find than a No4Mk1 mag. (I had a spare No 4 Mag). I plan on parkerizing the gun, (got two to do now...) :runaway:

Lastly, I picked up a sporterized Norwegian Krag Carbine. This is the bottom one. I've been told, and have found that wood and parts for this are rare. Well not rare if you have some and want to sell them to me. In that case they are common...

Anyhow, I'll be looking for some parts. Hell that is half the fun is it not...:dancingbanana:
