My K98 I recieved a few days ago from P&S militaria. It is a dot 1944 with swastikas intact. Also bought the yugo bayonet from bashaw sports.

Looks like a S&W revolver month for me. Probably paid too much but I've wanted one of these for a while and haven't been able to scoop one up.....until now.:)

Hitz,

1937 Brazillian Contract? I was just looking at one last week, but held off and in turn missed out. The sooner you shoot it and like it, the sooner any buyers remorse goes away. ;) nice

Yeah, that's the one. It was mistakenly described as:
Manufactured in Brazil circa 1937 under contract for Smith & Wesson.

It was actually an order of 25,000 revolvers for the Brazilian Gov., they are made in the USA by S&W. Most were delivered in 1938, then the war broke out and the rest were delivered 1946. At least that's what I can find out about them on the net........

Yea, the silly 'experts' with the 'made in Brazil' theory. That stamp is in great condition, I think the 1917 model (not an S&W guy, but that would be a Model K frame????) is a nice meaty revolver.

I think it's an "N" frame......I don't really know anything about them myself, I just like shooting:)
I needed something for our mishoots and I already load for .45acp so this is perfect. I also find most revolvers to be more accurate in my hands then auto loader......should be fun.

All this for under 350$. not bad huh

Just got this little fella into my grubby little hands. 1941 Izhevsk, non-refurb, exactly as-issued.

Only thing non-Russian is a small Finn capture mark. everything else is original Russian matching, all correct 1941 Izhevsk right down to the smallest screw :) Even the Soviet stock cartouches and original shellac is all intact. The phrase "only dropped once..." comes to mind ;)

I figure this one went stright to the front in the Continuation war where it was quickly captured and spent most of the rest of the conflict in a rack or guarding the bakery. It's a nifty little time capsul bought right here on CGN for a very reasonable price :)

So here she is, my new favorite M91/30...

Thanks Andy but it's not the same as finding it in your rifle :(

True, but only if you're sure it was placed there by the author. Beware of inflated prices due to the "original" tag being in place. No real way to know for sure.... :(

Just made a deal with Sam Game on the EE for this lovely Pre-war Commercial Broomhandle. Anyone know where I can get some clips?
