December Purchases

Agreed. I have purchased two rifles from them and I am completely satisfied with the service.

As for that SMLE, I was looking at picking it up but you beat me to it by a day. Better luck next time I guess.

Yup, that's the one. Second rifle purchase from them (first was an RC K98). Pretty good folks.

The mag is not a SN match but from the same series. The rest is matching, bore is nice. The number ID it as a Walther series were only 2,500 were made of.

I bought her at a gun show and I must admit the price was a steal. :D

Now take note at the beautiful CUSTOM rear sight.

And also this Wonderful CUSTOM recoil pad, which I believe is actually a tire.

And who couldn't LOVE the Mother of Pear inlays.

That is a fine piece of mid fifties, early sixties customization. There wasn't a lot of money around in those days and people did what they had to do to get by without spending any money. I've seen much worse. At least the fellow was fairly handy with with his pocket knife, hacksaw and file. The rear sight may not be pretty but it's functional and has been filed to regulate it for whatever ammunition was used.
I picked up one that was similar for parts many years ago. It was almost as pretty as that one. It did shoot very well though. I ended up giving it to a young fellow to hunt with. Never saw it or the young man again. He either really liked it or hated me for giving it to him.

If only I had a time machine and a list of previous owners. I could right the wrongs of the past. Like Quantum Leap but with a smaller budget and more anger issues.
