Decent EEE wide hunting boots

FFS, I've looked back through a number of boot threads we've had in the past, but I have an issue. I have wide feet.
Triple E wide at least.

EEE seems to be hard to come by in decent boots. Manufacturers are standardizing boots to people with skinny feet. EE can be found, but that extra E is rare in decent (non-safety) boots.

FFS I want a decent walking boot, 8" or so, water proof insulated, comfortable, moderate tread, long wearing and light. What's the big friggin deal with them being EEE wide!

I'm getting corns, and calluses on the sides of my feet from skinny damned shoes and boots, and my feet are always cold because they are tight!

Anyone found my holy grail?

I bought a pair of Gortex lined 'hiking boots' at Bass Pro for $85 or $90. I use them for birding. They fit my EEEE foot pretty good; very little break in. When they came on sale a year later for $54 I bought an other pair to keep in reserve.

Danner makes the Grouse and the Canadian in triple E widths. They cost a pretty penny but I love my Danners (Hood Winter Light) and they are worth it!

I saw the Danner Cannadian on their site in that width, but I've yet to find a Canadian Supplier that carries the wide shoe. May have to order online, but for a boot, 'specially an expensive one, I'd rather try 'em on. Also, the Canadian is a heavy boot.
I'll look into the Grouse. Thanks

As to cheap boots, I'm done with them. My feet deserve better.

Look at meindl, the best i've been able to find, have ordered danner from us before think they were EE, but they were not close to wide enough for me

Frick'in wusssss.
Wishkey and a belt sander.
I've got that gall darn little toe that sticks out like the sixth toe.
It seems to play havok on the side of the boot.
Find a shoe maker that has a way of stretching the boot.
Some can and some say they can.
Get them bust'ed in before the hunt, waaay before.
Use them for slippers around the house.

I had a pair of Danners. The 12EEE were actually 13EEE; they increased the size to get the width. Got rid of them after one season.

Sounds like a coincidence because I bought some danners size 9 EEEE (yes I have ape feet) and they were just fine for length and width.

Lol I feel your pain.

The running shoe I wear is a 14, EEEEEE made by new balance. It's the only shoe I've ever bought that fits. Everything else I wear skates, cleats, dress shoes, hikers, hunters etc don't fit and last 1-2 months before I split the sides. I know they aren't specifically hunting boots but I've been using merrells because they are fairly wide. I got 2 seasons out of them and may get another half season from them yet.

Yeah, even my work boots, and they are EEE, are just a bit tight. The industry sizing is not too consistent.

I have original SWAT's in 13 EEE, which fit me perfectly right out of the box. The first pair I got was supplied by the company, I got them sight-unseen. I have weirdly shaped feet to, and these are the first boots I had that fit perfectly right out of the box. I have uninsulated and insulated 8", the insulated (I'll be putting them on tomorrow for range day) are waterproof and I used to pull 12 hr shifts in -30 with just a pair of wool socks and these, feet were toasty :)

Thanks, found their website. How long have you had yours? Issues?

Reason I ask, is that I won't be standing around on concrete with my boots. I do that enough at work.
I'll be wading in swamps, climbing bare rock ridges, and then after that, possibly sitting for a few hours. Other days, I'll walk for pretty much the full day, with few if any rest stops. Conditions may be anything. This year it rained every F'n day.
That's moose hunting.
Deer hunting may involve more sitting, or a slightly different combination of sitting and walking with similar terrain. The weather then of course will be colder, and could include a foot of snow.

I've had this pair for 6 or 7 years at least, no issues at all (except that the stock laces weren't to my liking- too long to just tie up normally, not long enough to wrap around the boot and tie). I had them out at the range this morning, a bit of a swamp, kept me dry and warm, great ankle support.

Something I did find with my summer-weight boots, is that if you put insoles in, make sure they're full-length of your foot, not just heel-hugging or anything. I did manage to split the sole of them, the story the mfg. gave me was that the 3/4 insole is an issue with that. Granted, they sent me a new pair of boots, no charge, and keep sending me coupons, so I'm not upset about it in anyway.

6 or 7 years???
I'm lucky if a pair of boots gets me through two years. Where did you get yours?
I'll definitely be looking further into these.

The dealer I bought them from is no longer around, he was a supplier of all kinds of goodies, but he moved on (last I heard he was a dispatcher for North Bay PD).

MD Charlton (w ww.mdcharlton.ca) sells them, I don't know what their policies on individual purchase are, nor do I know if there are any site sponsors that sell them (Admin- make a sales call to MD Charlton, they'd make a great addition to your sponsor list).

Thanks, I think Tent City Outfitters is selling them here in Ontario, but not sure at this point.
I'll have to check if I'm down towards London. Long drive from here. They don't sell boots online, and I'd rather try them on anyway.
