Decent M14 Stock

Anyone know of any place that sells a decent stock for the M14 with Picatinny rail for optics that doesn't cost like 700-800 dollars or double the price of the rifle itself.?

The problem isn't the cost of the stocks, its that your rifles are too damn cheap. If you had to pay $1200 for a starter rifle a $600 stock all of a sudden starts looking pretty reasonable.

:)

You can google stockys stocks in the US. I bought a walnut M14 stock for $75+ shipping and a $20handling fee. Did wonders for my groups. I was thinking of getting rid of my norc it shot so poorly. Now with the new stock and some decent hand loads I was able to get 1.5" 5 shot groups at 100yrds. This works for my purposes.

No..... I just don't have the time (or the brains hehehe ) for setting up a website. At least in the near future anyways.....
I have plans to join the site as a hobby dealer and will post in the dealer section with pics...... soon. I Know I keep runnin that same line....."coming soon".... but I do stocks as a side thing.... to keep busy.... and because i enjoy it. I also have a regular job (sort of :D ) , a wife..... and a teenage son....... so..... website.... just no time hehehe :runaway: :runaway: and I have been working on stocks for a few guys and not "taking orders" to make any new ones until I'm set up as a dealer.

While i intend to offer a standard pistol grip version, a hunter/target version and a AR buttstock compatable pistolgrip version....... I will not be addressing railed options for optics. Rails for tac lights, bipods, forgrips , lazers..... kitchen sinks.... sure... easily doable.;)
anyhow.... that's all I can say. search the ee ... there is an add there but i should prolly delete it as the stock has sold.... there are also pics in the main battle rifle forum use the search word Kanadian

If you have a teenage son he should be able to have a website up for you in ten minutes. 20 if you want something fancy. :D

that's funny hehehehe my son works fulltime..... plays fulltime...... and i don't intervene with a good thing ;)
My brother is actually is a trained html programmer..... but is out of the country so much........ maybe when he gets back i'll see if he has time.
but for now...... no website......

oh come on, 45ACPking, programmers do not need to be anywhere near you to make a web site for your business. Shoot him e-mail and next thing voila! he will drop you link to YOUR web site.

I would pay the money for these kind of stocks. Too bad nobody in Canada carrys them. :(

Yes those are definately an excellent stock. Well worth the money considering you don't have to buy a separate scope mount. It's a damn shame the US DOS won't let them be exported.

correct me if I am wrong but scope mount should be part of barrel-receiver assembly. Those MCS's look cool but I wouldn't put my money there.

the MCS is a chassis system....... I'd drop the coin for one in a second. Not only is the upper rail part of the stock..... it also is bolted in using the sight ears on the norc receiver. Too bad this item is "prohibited" for export to civillian end users. I have chosen a Knights RAS rail for my shorty m14..... and have added a 8 inch rail under the custom fiberglass stock for bipod and tango down battle grip

I want to get my hands on a Knights RAS as well. Do you know how I could get my hands on one?

have it imported through questar? or a similar liscenced importer? these are NOT cheap hehehe
or get a knights knock off from DerK if he has any left.....

well.... tomorrow i turn 39 ...... I already have a baker's journeyman ticket..... a steelfabricator journeyman ticket........ and now i drive massive machines that move shipping containers around :D
I'd have to go to school for a schwack more years to learn machining/tool die and cnc programing operating...... and then buy tooling and equipment....... then i could make a troy mcs type stock hehehehe .... see ya in 6 or 7 years :D :D
at this time, I only work in fiberglass composite for stocks

The MCS is rock solid and receiver will never move inside of the stock. It is attached to the rifle in four spots (sight mount, trigger group, side of the receiver and the barrel band) and is adjustable for a perfect lock up. It is as solid or more solid than any other optics mount that attahces to the side of the receiver. I still think they are one of the best stock platforms out there although I have never had my hands on a Sage or a JAE.
