Hey guys! I need to buy a new scale this week. I was looking at the Hornady bench scale but it seems to have mixed reviews. I'm looking for opinions from loaders here.

RCBS 505 , 10-10 works well for me as my backup a GEMPRO 250 digital was my main till I bought a RCBS Chargemaster and there I stopped but use the RCBS in reserve

I bought one of these for $16 including shipping. I have a good beam scale and a balance with weights to check it with. I was so impressed with it I bought another.

The one listed is much more money but ebay has other types. The important thing is to get one that will do grains and measures to .001 of a gram.
 
I started using a Gempro 250 two years ago, it measures .02. It's been turned on most it's life and has never failed me. It's a great scale for precision type loading.
It replaced my Winstead Peters ACC2000, which is a great scale but doesn't measure as fine. It measures .1, good for larger cases but not my .223.
That replaced my 5-0-5
I haven't used a crack scale from eBay ;).

If you do a search for "scale", you'll see Gempro pop up often.
 
The RCBS 10-10 scale is what I've been using for years. Good enough to keep electronic honest. I've recently parked the Ammo-Master in favor of an old "Harrells" measure and back to using the 10-10.
 
I bought the Dillon mechanical scale from MD Gardner for around $100, and I am impressed with it. The only thing is that its not as fast as a digital one but it is very consistent.

I have slowly learned that in reloading you can only have two of the following three: fast, accurate, cheap
 
Bought a gem pro 250 and love it so far. Only had it a couple weeks so far but am super happy with it. I found amazon had the best price. I live near the border so I had it shipped to the border for free and drove across and picked it up.
 
Ive got the hornady scale, ran me like $110 US, i like it just to check things as i load, good for the price, occasionly when adding .1 of a grain i have to tap it to make the numbers move and read it correctly as a double check. It doesnt like reading 1 kernel of varget.
