Decided to take the plunge (375 H&H) Now which rifle should I buy? Updated page 92

Boomer is correct.... I just got one courtesy of Hoytcanon and, while I haven't shot it from a bench yet, I found the recoil very mild from a standing position..... Mind you, it's an RSM and likely a pound or so heavier than yours.....

Great pictures Superbrad, nice grain in that wood.
You will find that there is too much concern regarding recoil from a 375.
As far as I'm concerned if you can shoot a 12 ga. you will have no problem at all with a 375..

Happened to browse the CZ site and found out they have changed ad lingo to include this:

Known world-wide as the 602 Brno, the CZ 550 Safari Magnum is a true full-sized magnum, not a smaller action blown out to barely hold the cartridge with only 2 rounds in the magazine. On the contrary, the Safari Magnum can hold 4 Rigbys in the magazine!

Features include 3-leaf express sights (1 standing, 2 folding), hammer forged barrel and single set trigger. The stock is made from select Turkish walnut and has a classic safari shape. The controlled round feed and fixed ejector make this rifle reliable enough for heavy and dangerous game.

Are they really one and the same rifle?

Pretty much. The safety isn't on backwards anymore (hasn't been for a loooooonnnnggg time) and I'm sure a rabid BRNO collector could find a cross-bolt or something to prove how different his is. You can get that 4th shell into a .416 but you might need a portapower to chamber that one. Its still better to use it as a 3 1/2 down, or the .375 as a 5 1/2 down.

I have a CZ 550 Safari in 458wm that comfortably holds 6 down and 1 in the chamber. That's a lot of fire power to have on hand.
I really like the CZ's, heft and all, but I'm a big guy and they fit me well. I keep getting distracted by other firearms lately but when I pick up a 375H&H it'll be a CZ550 to sit along side my 458.
