We have one already. I was curious to see how big a factor it is with a cross section of the public.
So far the poll seems to line up with my original expectations.
A decocker usually results in some compromise in the feel and operation of the trigger system.
In our case, it does add slightly to the SA weight and increases the reset distance compared to the original.
However, since we start out with a fairly light and short reset, we can afford it.
I note that a few commented about the position and function of the decocker.
Slide mounted never really did it for me.
Ours uses the same position as our regular lever.
Straight forward is as usual, no safety applied.
Up is cocked and locked.
Down is both for manual decocking, and if left down for DAO.
