I heard geese cannot judge size if I paint a camper like a big goose and attach a head would this work? Is there a size to big for a blind?
Wondering as funny as it sounds what experienced hunters have to say? I'm guessing a camper wouldent be as good as let's say a boler style Mini trailer, or a small utility trailer. However I have a smallish camper. I for one think it would look hilarious. Like of like the mut cuts van from dumb and dumber.
How realistic must a blind look ? This is more of a for fun question as I'm going to stick with a tried and true coffin blind for at least this year. All jokes aside are blinds that look like the animal better then one that camouflages into the surrounding terrain? Is this even legal ? It would make hauling equipment easy provided the land owner would allow a trailer. What do you guys use for blinds, how many faux bird decoys should I use? Can I mix snow geese with canadain geese decoys or duck decoys for that matter ? Don't worry guys I'm going with some experienced guys this year and I have hunted canadain geese before with other people and had some luck. Mainly just curious and wanted to lighten the mood a little. Any jokes or advice would be helpful and apreachated

You sound like you've been watching reruns of Duck Dynasty a little too much. I don't think a goose camper would be the best decoy, but a few guys swear by the big goose looking lay down blinds. I'd stick with a coffin personally, and some mix snows and canadas for supposed realism but I've always managed to bring geese in to a small spread of Canadas.

Look what Duck Dynasty does to people! That idea is just wrong on so many levels... but I also would snicker if you rolled past me! Good luck with your project... I hope you park it in a field near where we are hunting...

Well I've got about 25 or so decoys now and some coffin blinds. I don't watch duck dynasty.... I'm not doing any project I just have a camper it's not turning into a goose anytime soon. I work alot and don't have the time right now well at least this year. I was just wondering if it was plausible? I might use the camper for deer season. As i have a small gen set and i got drawn kind of far from home for some specail tags. I thought the image would be funny to immagine esp going down the road lol, I would think the head would have to be detachable for the travel. Still it would be hilarious, ideal probably not. How big can one of these lay down blinds be? I meen the ones that look like geese. Ill post pics of the truck load of what I have tommorow most likely, getting exicted! What's a good number of decoys to have I have mostly canadain geese some brown ducks and mallard decoys. Big ones small ones should I get more ? I talked to a guy that says he uses 60 doesn't call.... Might have to raid ct again. I'm going to go for a beer with a really experienced guy I know tommorow on proper placement and maybe calls? Maybe a goose chase. Ps I was just in Ontario.... It's nice but I like alberta, plus there is like hundreds of thousands of geese around just need to get permission and see what the geese are doing. I got some last year used a white blanket lol(probably by chance the more I think about it) I probably would have got out more but I broke my knee(acl meniscus damaged mcl patella) and wasent getting around to great.

Well I found some geese a pea field and picked up more decoys, got permisson. I'm going to google like a mother now. Is game bird ok to hunt Sundays the regulations book really doesn't say going to read it front to back like a bible tonight.

That new camper blind would probably be a real effective "chick magnet" and draw them in from miles around.

Good luck. Make sure you bring the big gun.
