Deer and the city don't mix

Oh my God! Oh my God!

This is a common hazard especially in rural areas

Talking about hazards, the kid in the back, should be on a booster seat snugly strapped with a seat belt.

Oh well, don't worry about the kid, look at the deer.

A deer busted the glass door on a London furniture shop last week. Just down the street from my apartment. Wandered around a bit, causing thousands of dollars damage and left.
There's an area that's very close to downtown London called the Sifton Bog that's alive with deer. Know a guy who had $3800 damage to his nerd-mobile when he hit one. Deer regularly feed on the grass between the runways at Pearson International. Know a guy who hit a deer at Mississaugs Rd and Dundas. That's downtown Mississauga. The Credit River Valley is full of deer.
The local MNR/cops figure there's a vehicle/deer collision every 38 minutes down this way. 12 of 'em in one morning last Thursday.
No predators(cougar sighting reports though) and short hunting seasons with miles and miles and miles of corn and soy bean fields lets 'em grow big too. I'm guessing the fairly recent availability of a second deer tag was caused by the insurance companies demanding that something be done about the millions of dollars in claims.

I saw a doe with two fawns jumping over a 4 wire fence a couple days ago. The doe and first fawn made it without a problem, the second fawn landed short. The fawn ended up getting his back legs between the 3rd and 4th wires. When his weight carried him forth, the wires crossed catching him by the hawnches. He was trapped there, so I climbed out of the truck and pondered how to help the poor little bugger. Soon as he saw me coming toward him, he drug his legs free from the fence and scooted off. He didn't look much worse for wear, but he did leave some hair on the barbs of the fence, and problably has some cuts and scrapes from the barbs.
Pretty easy to see how an animal could strangle itself in a wire fence.

Man, that guy was so stupid for hitting that deer. I mean, that SUV can easily go from 60-0 in 2 meters, everyone knows that :jerkit:.

Instead of being so worried about seeing a deer die (and :)runaway:) letting the little kid see it to), how 'bout cleaning up the language a little in front of him?
