Deer calling and decoys

Looking for info from those of you with experience with calling rattling and decoying deer.

1) How soon in the season have you had deer respond to doe bleats or
rattling ?

2) Same for decoy use. I've had good luck with these methods in November but would like to fill the tags in the Oct BP season.

Guess my age is catching up to me and that cold Sask. wind bites a little deeper every year.

I've never had much with rattling, but then again there is not a big population of bucks in my area. I use a two sided decoy (Renzo) in the first week of Nov. Last year I had a doe come and eat beside it for about 15 min, then it decided to make friends with my decoy, and it started licking it. Was funny to watch.

These are easy to carry and weigh nothing and have a realistic print of a doe or buck on both sides.

The pic does not show the realism to well because of the shadow on half of the decoy.
