Deer Does the "Matrix" - MUST SEE!!

Such Grace, such Agility, Such Beauty .... completely outclassing the Bowman! Naked and unafraid, lucky for the deer most hunters posses only average abilities.

YUP!! I realize that the more hunters I meet. They wonder why they don't get deer, or BIG deer. I've decided that I'm not going to tell them that it's because they drive their ATV's right to their spot, wreaking like last night's chilli and beer, smoking cigarettes and looking like a giant popsicle.

This will ensure the trophy's live longer and larger for me to hunt!
 
Yes I too agree that the person was shooting a wee high as well. I went real slow and held a pen to the screen and the arrow was heading for a spine shot. Although I dont know if any lower would have made much of a differance.
 
I was watching a hunting show a few weeks ago, the guy was hunting turkeys somewhere in an arid region in the states, and he was using a crossbow - the shots were both placed perfectly, right at the shoulder, but the turkey ducked and dodged the arrow - twice:eek:
 
Walk quietly up behind someone and clap your hands loudly behind his head... watch what he does.
(Don't do it to your wife though...it could earn you a kick in the Nads!)
Jumping the string is what is called.... should be called diving the string.
It is the noise that causes this instinctive reaction.
I have had it happen a few times.... they actually hit the ground with thier brisket. I have seen the marks in the snow when it happened to me.
That arrow was a little high but looked like it would have struck the vitals if the deer had stood for the shot.
What did he do wrong.... shot at an alert doe I suppose.

That is impressive!! As a hunter, if an animal ever evades me like that, I'm going to just drop my firearm/bow and give him/her a standing ovation. "Well done old chap, well done!!"

Really.....you have to admire that agility!

Then call it a day, head to the garage and drink some pints!
 
Alert big deer LOOKING straight at you:eek: of course she'd jump the string, but to turn on a dime and go the opposite direction was VERY cool!!;)
 
I've always maintained that the fastest bow is still slower than the slowest white tail.
I watched a video about 20 years ago or more of a deer turning from an arrow shot from about 30 feet or less.
The cameraman was behind the archer in a treestand, and when the archer turned and looked at the camera, well, I don't think I've EVER seen a more disgusted look from a hunter!:cool:

You lie to me...they don't do that over there, I don't believe it for a minute. :rolleyes:
 
Video

Nice video, when I play it frame by frame on my editor there is a halo around the deer if you look closely there are ghosts in the halo (of trees, not the same trees as in this video).

Also despite the turn and run none of the small bushes on the ground move at all, and the only sound is of the bow, no crashing of bushes as the deer runs away ?????

Nice video, but I bet it made from 2 different sources IMHO.
