so today in total at work I saw 12 deer 5 of which i saw with the chainsaw running. 5 were close to the landing and 2 were in the field by the landing. also on the walk out as I came around a corner I came face to face 20yds from a coyote, who turned and bolted after about 4 seconds of staring at me. It was funny because i saw the last 2 deer in the field when i got back to the landing, at which point i could hear the 'yote and his buddies yipping back and forth perhaps telling them the coast is clear. The deer eat the tops of the trees that are limbed off. when i get to where i last cut in the morning it's like a highway of fresh tracks. sorry no pics, no time for cameras gotta lay them trees down
Keep that in mind next year for the late season bow hunt. If you have permission to hunt logged property, hunt it. Winter makes them resort to eating the old buds from summer.
