Recipe for the candles? Melt fat, pour, add wick. Talk nice to any of the girlies in yer life, and they can probably hook you up on some scented wax beads to drop in to add some scent if you want it.

I'd be interested in the soap. Irony indeed!

Recipes for the salves and about everything else you might have never thought you could make at home, can be found in many books on the subject. IIRC, Lee Valley used to sell one called A Thousand Useful Household Formulas or some such. Lots of them about, if you ever wanted to make your own tooth paste or the like.
