Deer field dressing knife kits recommendations

I ended up buying this. Arrived today, I'm in love. The knife is sharp as hell, the gutting hook is beautifully sharp plus I love the rounded tip, and the saw is sharp and plenty long for pelvic bone and breast bone. Cork screw for popping a nice roseé with some fresh venison

Very happy with my purchase.

Raped on consumables? Don't buy the havalon brand blades then - A box of 100 blades can be had for under $20usd+shipping if you go to a medical supply store.

Alright. I'd care, if I thought I'd ever use the Havlon ever again.
Wasn't happy with it. Had I paid for it, I'd have been pissed. But for free, it still isn't worth 25 cents a blade to me.

On the other hand, I've had my diamond file going on 20 years, and it still works for me. Likely one of the best ten dollar bills I don't regret spending.

Nice. Now get a Work Sharp to keep it sharp. No knife stays sharp forever

I picked up an outdoor edge razor blaze this summer when I found them on super sale. Haven’t used it yet, but hopefully that changes this week.

My old go-to is a buck mini-iceman. CT usually has them, but at regular price they want 40+ bucks. They regularly put them on sale for 10 or 12 bucks. They hold an edge fairly well, but it is the ergonomics which I like best. They just fit my hand very well. I can wrap my mitt around the handle with my index finger running down the spine of the blade and it just fits perfectly and gives me great control.
