Deer food attractants

There are two things in this world I can't stand. People who don't tolerate different methods of hunting...and people who use food "attractants".

Duhhhh...wouldn't that mean you can't stand yourself

I bait/help bait in 6 different locations . I'm very sure that in some of those remote locations the deer have never seen a corn cob let alone smelled or tasted molasses, yet every one of those locations are heavily hit by the deer .....a 45 gallon drum full of a deer mix(crushed corn & oats with molasses) is gone in less than 3 days .
Even one area heavily predatored(?) by wolves is heavily hit .
Mind you the smaller critters, Blue Jays, Whisky Jacks, Magpies, Ravens, Partridges, Squirrels, Chipmunks plus an assortment of other fauna manage to get their fair share.....I think that the deer lock on\are attracted to the noises that the small animals make .
You can say what you want ....but nothing beats watching and maybe shooting Mr. Big from the comfort of a heated shooting shack when it is minus 30C outside.....especially at my age .

Yessir!...I'm envious....I would have shot him....well in the daylight that is.

He hangs around till 8am shooting light that day was 7:45am

We had lots like the little feller on our trail cams but nothing like Mr. Big there....did you poke a hole in him?

not yet I'm hunting starting monday till the season closes if I don't get him this year he will only be bigger come next year.
