I picked up a pretty strong looking folding gambrel with a block and tackle from Canadian Tire today-brand name''Allen''- for $20.Most of the deer hoist sytems I've seen are marginal at best-small wheels and thin cord-this one looks pretty skookum-rated for 440 lb.

I hunt the farm land around here so I can most often get close to my kill with my truck. So my father and I have constructed a hoist that fits the reciever hitch on my truck, and using a boat winch I hang the deer much like "Hang Man". I have used it for the past several years, and everyone likes it, and a few have made their own. There is even one out there that was built for a 4 weeler, and the fellow was tying to market it.

If you can get to the deer with any vehicle just put the rope over a branch and pull it up with the vehicle.

**EVEN MY HONDA CIVIC??** ;)

MusicianShooter smiles, until some big deer or moose rips the bumper off his car while he hoists it...

Wouldn't happen to have their stock number handy would you, then I can do a search for it on their site.
