Well, I didn't have it written back when JYC was looking for menu ideas for his hunt camp, but here is our menu for next week:
Saturday:
Lunch (5-6): sandwiches and beer
supper (6-8): deep-fried wild turkey, Louise’s meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli impossible pie
Sunday:
brunch (7-8): bacon and eggs, toast, coffee and tea (Shane bring chicken bacon/sausage)
supper (7-8): shrimp sizzle, pan-fried grouse breast (HINT, HINT), stewed chicken and spatzele, frozen peas
Monday (the opener):
red-eye breakfast (6): eye openers, English muffins and jam/PB, coffee and tea
lunch (6): chicken soup and sandwiches on your own time
supper (5-6): escargots, sweet and sour goose legs, basmati rice, baby carrots with maple syrup
Tuesday:
red-eye breakfast (5): eye openers, bagels and jam/PB, coffee and tea
brunch (5): back bacon and eggs, toast, coffee and tea
supper (5): smoked oysters and crackers, venison pot roast, onions, carrots, potatoes
Wednesday:
red-eye breakfast (4): eye openers, English muffins and jam/PB, coffee and tea
brunch (4): venison soup and sandwiches, coffee and tea
supper (4): nachos and cheese, honey mustard chicken breast, rice noodles
Thursday:
red-eye breakfast (4): eye openers, bagels and jam/PB, coffee and tea
brunch (4): goose breast/maple syrup country sausage, eggs, hash browns
supper (4): spaghetti and garlic bread
Friday:
red-eye breakfast (4): eye openers, English muffins and jam/PB, coffee and tea
brunch (4): venison t-loins and/or liver, bacon, eggs, hash browns
supper (4): BBQ steaks, baked potatoes, fried onions and mushrooms
Saturday:
red-eye breakfast (5): eye openers, bagels and jam/PB, coffee and tea
Brunch (5): after Remembrance Day ceremony: bacon, eggs, toast
Supper (5): BBQ chicken, potato salad, canned corn
