Hi guys after nearly 10 years away from Vancouver, I find myself living here in the big city again fighting the traffic grrrrrr. It has been a long time since ive hunted out of Vancouver and Im just wondering what the lay of the land so to speak is. Before I left about 10 years ago, hunting deer around SW bc was pretty tough, around Chilliwack, Hope, Chehalis Lake etc. Have deer populations rebounded at all? The last mulie i pulled out of BC 7-8 years ago I got near Grand Forks... would it be better for me to drive out a bit further to the Okanagon or somewhere else rather then wasting gas on weekends driving out to chilliwack, hope etc??

Im not looking for anybody to divulge their super secret hunting spots just some general advice for upcoming deer season here in Southern BC...

Thanks in advance
Luke

Living on the island I've never hunted that area, but the deer populations the last few years looked fine from 1000 feet. Google earth will show you some good habitat just out your back door that every hunter in the city isn't driving right to every weekend - best of luck!
