A suggestion where you can camp without stepping on a lot of toes as many have previously camped there. Keep in mind it has been years since I have hunted the area, as we built a camp in another WMU.
Head up Hwy #69/400 Just past Key River you will find the turn off to Grundy Lake Prov park on the right. Also a store, gas station, canoe rental at the turn off. Head down this paved Hwy about 15 miles or so until you go under a "double set of high tension hydro lines" turn left on the next gravel road. Head up this road about 1/2 mile or so, you should see a large open flat rock area on the left by a swale. It might be grown in a bit over the years. There should be more than enough room to get your trucks off the road and onto the rock so you shouldn't get stuck and you can set camp. Hunt between the gravel road and the power line. If you go west you will hit the power line. South you will hit the paved road you came in from Hwy 69 on. North you will have the swale your camped on, and east is the gravel road your camped on. So your can't get lost for days, but be aware there is a beaver pond in this rectangle of bush. This should keep you busy for at least a week.
If the fellas at my old camp new I told you all this, they would be pi$$ed. Then again several are dead and the rest are not worth worrying about. And beside one needs to help the new fella's coming up. Keep in mind the area is riddled with very old established camps as previously mentioned. This particular hunk of bush is usually run as a last resort as it can be mean. It is ran by sending two men in from the south and pushing north wards to men lined in along the swale that your camped near. No one is really going to be to upset if your camped and hunting on it as it has happened before.
