Just wondering how people feel or possible problems with my thought. I put my stand up a week or so ago to have it up nice and early. Good idea or bad idea to go sit in it one morning to see what passes? Or setting up a ground blind a few hundred feet away to watch from a distance? Am I going to spook my future dinner?

I'd stay away unless you're putting out bait, and then in and out mid-day preferably. Don't want to give them a reason to avoid your area by smelling/ seeing you.

More than eager. It's not about seeing a picture, but observing first hand. Watching how it moves, where it looks, see the Turkeys bounce around. Just to be in the moment. I do have other places to go and explore and do already. But my spring Tom and I played a cat and mouse game for a few days before he got a little to close. I was hoping to observe my deer a bit before hand to because first chance I get, I'm taking it. I would love to watch the area before hand, in person, but do not want to take a chance on ruining opening day. Time to walk under someone else's tree stand... kidding!!
