Defective scope need help!!!

here are more details about my problem, When unlocking the windage knob locking screw (allen key) about 2 turn counter-clockwise I start filling and hearing click noise. When going clockwise it go freely noiseless!
Once this screw unlocked It's impossible for me to lift the cover to adjust the windage on my gun.
The Cap didn't want to move at all. Even in pulling hard on it!!!!
this situation is not present on the elevation (up and down) adjustment knob.
This scope is newly put on a Remington 700 308 cal. it's when trying to adjust it that I've realised that problem. I've put two round at 50 yards with it before trying to adjust it.
Prior to that that scope was on a M-14 308 cal for almost 2 years working perfectly. windage adjustment was working flawlessly, I've put about 150 rounds in this 2 years!
It's when moving it from gun that I've realized the problem.
No specific circumstances can explain this issue, always case carried my guns ans scope and handled with care!!!

Im sorry to say but I think your Leapers has just died. Unless you can somehow find a company to do the warranty work you could try taking it apart and figuring it out yourself (but if you do this be prepared to have to buy a new scope if you can figure it out or put it back together).
Sometimes scopes just "go south" for no reason..............also M14s can be hard on scopes because of the way they recoil...........
if you are going to send it back to the U.S. to be fixed, keep in mind that you will probably need a U.S. export permit to have the scope shipped back into Canada..............unless things have changed................
Myself, I would just look at getting a new scope..................
