To me a sub gauge is anything smaller than a 20, e.g. anything that isn't really an all around gun
What do you think?

What do you think?

I was always lead to believe anything under the base 12ga was sub gauge.
Order a set of sub gauge tubes and you get 20, 28 and 410.
But if you ordered a set of "sub-gauge" tubes for a 10 what would you get? 12 and under probably, as anything smaller than 10 is a "sub-gauge".
I am trying to figure out the correct usage of the term.
Who makes tubes for a 10ga??????????????????????????????????
Briley might, I don't know, I was just suggesting that in your context, sub gauges are anything smaller than 12 but if you were to order a "sub-gauge" set for another bore size the definition would change.
Briley is not a good example since they will machine any tubes for anything for a price.
Wish I had something concrete for you but I don't sorry.![]()
I know briley was a bad example, sorry
Is a "sub-gauge" just a small bore shotgun or is it 20 and smaller?
Is a 16 a "sub-gauge"?
