del.

The choices aren't all that appealing, but might surprise you. The first few that come to mind are Remington 74-series (740, 742, 7400, etc). Turning bolt heads and gunsmith only barrel changes. There are equivalent ranges in Browning and Winchester. Ruger and Savage stayed out of that game IIRC. Of them all, Browning has tarted up their gas operated auto for precision work, but I suspect it is marketing trying not to be left behind in the gun magazines.

FN Scar 17
FN FAL
HK 41
IWI Galil Ace 308

I think all of the above are outstanding firearms in an imaginary discussion. Don’t kid yourself if you think that the guns listed in posts above mine won’t be joining the list I posted.

From Armalytics dot com's webservice - NR semi autos in 308:

H&K SLB2000 Light
BAR Lightweight Mark 2 (3 versions)
FNAR
Remington 74
740 (in many versions)
742 (ditto)
7400 (ditto)

In my shooting experience, the 74 was a plainer version of the 7400 with a birch stock. Mine had terrible accuracy. Narrow groups that were 2-3 feet tall.

Not sure I follow.Did I post in the incorrect forum again?

Your all good. Some think that posting available guns on here is creating a list for the left to confiscate; others think we deserve a place to talk openly about our legal hobby without being persecuted for it by external, or internal, detractors.

There's a couple of holes in there.

But I am not going to mention them.
