My buddy has several jars full of flints that are marked 'fine English flints' that belonged to his now deceased brother-inlaw. This guy was a world class stock maker who worked in England for many years and owned a H and H bouble barreled shotgun; we are not sure if he worked for H and H or not but does have equipment with their name on it.
Some of these jars contain 50 and 75 flints in a variety of colours.....apparently packed in sawdust. Anyway, his wife wants them cleared out so he is looking to get rid of them and would like some help.
If anyone has info to share about value, where to sell .....or may be interested in them please pm me with info, questions, etc.

Also has a few jars of locks and pieces in jars of oil; 3 or 4 locks in each jar. He is going to start going through them for names and info etc. Any interest or info please contact. Thanks....wTc

Take a stroll through the Track of the Wolf website for an idea of the values. They carry quite a few different name locks. Many should be findable on Google if not there.

Seems to me that the last flints I bought were about $1.50 each. A good deal considering the prices they ask for caps these days.

It all depends on what the locks are. I was just going through Track Of The Wolf's catalogue a few minutes ago looking for lock parts for a shotgun and they are really not all that expensive new. Of course if they are rare or desireable lock then they may hold a little more value but used no-name locks would be worth very little IMHO.
