Delete Please, overreaction on my part!

EDIT: I might be the one out to lunch guys. It is not a 3-10 power scope, it is an M3 10 power fixed scope and some of the older ones may indeed have come with white lettering on the bottom.

Call Leupold and give them the serial number. The font looks correct.

The "M3-10X" means it has M3 turrets, 10x max power.

Still, I'm glad people are looking at stuff and stepping up to clear the fake junk. Good to know that this one is legit.
