i just fired a bunch of surplus so im trying to take apart my russian sks but i cant seem to get the wood off, in everyone video they just pull right off but mine wont anyone else have this problem?

Push the pin in with a small screwdriver then the thingamabob will go down quite easily.

It looks like the lever is sitting to high to put your gas tube on. Take the upper hand guard off, lover the lever until it sits in the little detente the reassemble. That should work.

The lever has to sit at the top but inside the track to put the gastube/handgaurd in put the front in first then snap it into place then move the lever down.
