Flavour of the month comes and goes in waves. I'll shoot my CZ Carbine in 7.62x39 and my CZ452 Varmint for a month or two then pick up the SKS and an old Lakefield 64B for fun and shoot them for a few weeks. Maybe drop those and just shoot the Winchester 30.30 for a while.
I can drop them all and just use the air rifle as a respite from all the noise.
Right now I have thousands tied up in guitars. I play maybe two hours a week right now but come winter I'll play them almost non-stop, and probably not shoot more than 1,000 rounds a week.
Sight in the SKS next time you haul it to the range. Take your time cleaning and oiling the thing...and try to enjoy.
