For $300.00, I wouldn't even hesitate, unless there is some underlying condition in which it can not be shot or throws lead all over the place(badly worn barrel). I would run a flashlight down the barrel and have a look at the rifling, and maybe even perform a bullet test on the muzzle.
 
And, did you know, a pattern is a model and a model is a pattern? Different word, similar meaning. Many rifle parts have different names from Commonwealth to U.S. A bolt is a bolt body. A receiver is an action body.
A bolt plug is a bolt sleeve. So don't start a war on nomenclature.

Yes. I'ts something I don't lose sleep over. And most carbines are called rifles and rifles are actually rifled guns,aperture sights are peep sights, a gargoyle is NOT a winged monster, it is a plumbing fixture but the meaning has changed to the vernacular.
The trick is, it is the usage, the vernacular. If some guy was to say something is wicked in todays language, you know he means it is good etc. Go with the flow. the language changes. Like it or not:p
