delete sold thanks to all :)

Finnish Luger. Barrel, if I remember rightly, is 118mm. Built by DWM, Berlin so it's pre-1919. Likely a P-'08 rework rebuilt in Finland; note the safety is marked in German and not in Suomi. Receiver looks scrubbed; the date of original manufacture would have been stamped there. Beautiful condition, too.

Not very many of THESE babies running around loose.

Sorry I can't help with any idea regarding value, except to point out that shooter Swiss ones in 7.65P are going for about 2200 bucks and they are 06/29s with the straight forward edge to the grips. The swelled front edge makes a much prettier piece.

Sorry I can't help much, but I DO thank you for posting those lovely photos.

You indeed have a Finnish Luger. A military DWM P08 (4 digit sn ) reworked by the Finns with the addition of a 4 3/4 in. Tikka barrel. The SA marking on left receiver is a Finnish proofmark. Many of these were imported in Canada they were available from different dealers over the years. Sadly these reworked Finnish Lugers havent been well received by collectors, I mean they are not sought after & looked for....Some consider them as an intermediate between a collectible & a shooter...

Yours is in nice shape & has a correct type I magazine. The grips have some wear & there's the infamous safety chip on the left pane which lowers the value a little...l. Hopefully the bore is in vg cond or better. One dealer used to sell these in the $1150.00 range so that could give you an idea on value...

Thanks for showing, Mk

Is it still in the original 9x19 caliber or did the Finns change it to something else when they swapped the barrel ?

I'm looking for a WW1 dated DWM luger in restricted category and this one is very interesting so let me know when you wish to sell it.

Nice pics too!

That is a nice Finn Luger, I had a matching one which I ended up selling and now regret.

Looks like a nice example, I would value it between $800-$900.

There is still a dealer who has a few left in this price range.
