do you own you own shop or that is just you Garage?...
I believe the FTE brake is a clamp on affair and not screw on...
Personally, I wouldn't have chosen the Farrel base as it is extremely high compared to others like TPS. You'd have been better off getting the base when you'd purchased your rings.
C'est le comptoir de Gaulin! Nice place!!!
WOW, don't be shy to show us once finished...
the brake is Screwed, the nut is only there to tighten when brake is in good position (indexed) because it is not round all around....

Wow that a nice break, I believe it a badger ornance if I am correct, where you get that?, I am looking at getting one for my newly build 300WSM.
3lb trigger? why spend all that money on a rig and have the trigger set so heavy?
Wow! I went to see my gunsmith today (2.5 hour drive) and he's almost done with my AI Clone. He's waiting for a Badger FTE Brake to thread the barrel, crown it and refinish it. I held her today for the first time... Man what a feeling! That barrel is big and heavy!!! Can't wait to take her home... Here are the specs:
AICS 1.5 SA OD
Rem 700 accurized action
Trigger set to 3lb
26" 1:12 5R heavy Target contour .308 CM Krieger barrel
Farrell 20 MOA Steel base
Badger bolt knob
Not shown on the pics:
Badger FTE Brake with replacement ring
Parker hale (AI) Bipod
TPS TSR Low Steel Rings
Horus vision Super Falcon 5-20x50 H25
New cheek piece bolts
I'll post pics on the pic thread when she'll be completely done.
