I can't see either being more reliable than an AR15/M16/C7,, and what does reliable really mean anyway?

By "better mags" do you mean the AR10 uses the 7.62 cartridge vs the 5.56 in the AR15 or are you referring to something else?

I'm referring to the mags as in the "things" you put the ammo in... (AR10-M14/1A mags vs AR15 mags)
