Flashhiders different, charging handle is also different.

If yer looking for different model designation i have no idea.

They're both very early uppers from the "A1" era of AR15's.

The green furniture would be a model 601.

The cocking handle also is the original one which was actually triangular shaped at the rear believe it or not.

The flat slip ring, the green triangular handguards, the lack of shell deflector, no forward assist.

These are original AR15's prior to or just after the US military started using them after trials and funding from Colt. Probably very late 50's or very early 60's.

The lower one is an M16 or also known as a model 604 due to the lack of forward assist but early standardized furniture and cocking handle. Strange that it has a birdcage suppressor though, that era it should be a 3 prong, unless it was swapped out for some reason.

Hard to tell with such bad image, close up detail of the rear sight windage dial would reveal a lot more and make it concrete.

Hope that helps!
