I know this has been posted befor but I had to comment. I tried the trick of popping the mag, holding it with light pressure with the palm of the left hand and feeding in 10 rds with a stripper clip. The mag housing will hold the extra 5 rds. When firing, the weight of the carbine rests on your palm and it will feed fault free. I was amazed at how well this works. It's legal but I wouldn't do it around anal people.

You are not altering the mag or the rifle. the mag is still only holding the 5 rounds. I was simply commenting on a surprising method. Sorry guys.

If i understand correctly the extra five rounds aren't actually in the mag so the mag itself is still not capable of holding more than five and therefore not a prohibited device.

Just like it's legal to have a pistol with one in the chamber and 10 in the mag for a total of 11.

Given a good, secure rest it could work....one hand for the trigger the other under the partly open mag applying a steady upward pressure.

Not sure why you'd want to do it but it could work.

Lol, how ironic considering most of the replys you got lol!

I'll have to give it a try next time I'm out in the bush, my only concern would be an out of battery detonation. Typically all the blast will dump down through the mag well and if your hand is over the magazine it would be in harms way. I like having two hands more than 10rds, I can load 5rds pretty quick on strippers.
