Have you ever fired one?

I'll never forget my first time. I have one in 308, my favorite, go to hunting rifle, original, thin hard plastic butt "pad" on it, and the only rifle I could never part with. They certainly have a kick to them with the short barrel, and will surprise anyone that has never fired one. Recoil tends to be...robust.

They do buck. My friend has a 600 in .350 that’s very nice as well as one in 6mm. Can’t recall what he paid for either. I purchased a 660 in .243 from the original owner. He purchased 60 rounds when he acquired and there were 41 once fired brass, 19 loaded rounds. It was mint. Rifle, scope, sling and brass/ammo was had for $450. I don’t think you’re out to lunch north of $700 as an ask. I picked up a 600 in 6mm purely as a donor action for a semi custom as it was in poor shape overall. I think I still paid $350 for that one. It now sits behind a 6mm AI chamber.

I don't want to sell it and regret it later on.
I retire in 4 years..i may want to play with it.
Lol. They are nice little rifle.
.

I missed in the previous posts that you said you’re going to keep it. My bad. Cool. I equate the 600 and 660 lovers to the First Gen 5.9 Cummins crowd. A cult following of sorts. I’ll never have less than one in the cabinet myself. Any idea what you’re thinking of topping it with for glass?
