Perhaps if they remained unfired at some unknown time in the future a collector who values pairs of consecutively numbered CZ 452 Varmints in 22WMR might offer a pretty penny for the two. In the meantime they remain two CZ 452 Varmints in .22 magnum. They are harder to find than .22LR or .17HMR, but they aren't especially collectable or unusual.

^agreed, though all CZ452s seem to have "premium" asking prices these days. Like grauhanen, I don't think consecutive serial #s add anything to the value, nor can I see them adding much even way down the line if you were buying as an investment.

As for "premium"...I inquired about a new 452 Varmint in 17HMR with my LGS a couple of weeks back. Had a buddy looking. They got back to me, their distributor had one left...and my LGS's selling price would be $849 before tax. Considering I still see the same gun in 22LR listed for $599 at a CGN sponsor...clearly distributors/retailers are making the most of the demand for these discontinued models.

A local fellow is selling a matching pair of NIB unfired CZ 452 Varmint 22 magnums having consecutive serial numbers, what I’m wondering would these be worth a premium due to them being NIB with the serial numbers being in a row? Or does it not really have an effect on value yet as they’re still relatively recent.

If there the same guns I seen. 1 is nib, 1 is used

consecutive serial numbers would only matter maybe to someone if that person buys both at the same time! nice guns but I don't think it requires a premium price! imo.

Yes, maybe in 50 years.

IMO, Varmints are over rated. Perhaps a pair of Americans with awesome wood, will be more attractive.

Every firearm is test-fired at the factory. So unfired just means unfired outside the factory test fire.

Not sure i see the value in the consecutive pair. In something thats more synonymous with pairs like revolvers sure...but in a rifle like this, it wouldnt get any extra cash from me.

As much as i love my 452 rifles and i have had the pleasure of owning every model at one time except a scout, to me the used prices are way out of line, all seem to me worth more than any of us bought them for a full retail over the years, don't see the additional value myself.....FS

For sure they would be an interesting score for a family with twins or something.
But, it appears the re-sellers are looking for any angle to try and make a buck.
