I'm not sure which diameter this fibre optic is - but Phoenix Indoor Range should have some in stock. I've recently replaced mine, took about 3 minutes, it was my first time, and most of that was spent looking for a lighter.

There should be a YouTube video somewhere, but the basic rundown goes something like this:

Cut out the old fibre
Insert new fibre rod from the front of the sight, leave 1/16-1/18" exposed at the rear of the sight
Hold a flame near - but not touching - the sight, let the heat bubble the rod until it mushrooms and holds in place
Cut the excess rod from the front of the sight, and repeat, leave the same 1/8" or so

edit, DM beat me to it ^

Yes, 1.5mm is the proper size. Note though that I have a 0.060" rod from the US that is a hair too big. Another colour just fits.

Down the road, when you are cleaning the gun, check for forward/back play in the rod. Once there is some play, bring out the lighter again to tighten it up. If you leave it sloppy, the recoil force will keep moving the rod, and one end will come off and the rod will slide out.

Funny you should mention this. I did notice my fiber developing a little bit of play. I suspect it is from the muzzle area heating up and the recoil stretching it. I hit it with a Bic and it's good and snug again.
