Yes, we got one on a snow goose one time. Was attached to the birds back under the feathers, had an antenna about 6” long attached to a small pod maybe 1”-1.25” that resembled the shape of a walnut cut in two halves. Guy in our group that shot it kept the transmitter. Bio’s consider them expendable so keep it as a souvenir of your hunt and congratulations!
 
I recommend taking it with you on your next vacation.... the people who track those birds will be amazed when a goose travels to Costa Rica then tours Europe.
 
Years ago ( like maybe late 70's ) we got one with it on it's back and believe me they wanted it back big time in those years since back then it was very expensive. In fact I think there was a reward associated with returning it then. No idea about today It should be reported regardless since it assists with the management of the geese
