I've mounted one on my son's Savage Rascal; its perfectly adequate for the purpose. Simple reticle, clear glass sighted in to group at just under an inch at 50 yards. Last time out, he decided that the rifle was too small for him. He spent more time using mine and his Mom's guns.

I have one on a 455 Lux and its a very nice little scope, the eye relief is longer than its vx-1 variable counterpart which I prefer. I'm not a fan of the friction adjustment as clicks are easier and more precise but it works just fine for my intended purpose. They're expensive considering whats available from the likes of Nikon or possibly even Bushnell.

Great little scope, you won't be disappointed.
Personally, I prefer the vx1 2-7x28 rimfire because of the extra magnification for longer head shots at grouse plus it is only 1.5 oz heavier than the fixed 4.
