Considering reloading for my CSA VZ 58. Specifically those of you that have a CSA VZ 58, how well does brass cased ammo feed through your rifle?
Does the brass get torn up as is ejected or is it more or less unscathed? If the brass gets destroyed in one or two firings, reloads would not make much sense.
Before I invest in dies and brass, just want some opinions from those that have shot brass cased reloads from this rifle.
223 or 762 model? I reloaded for the 223 - improved the accuracy of my VZ drastically. On average I'd get 4-6 firings per case, had to trim every other firing, sometimes every third firing on thicker brass. Make sure to get a headspace gauge (Lyman makes a "Drop in" one that tells you instantly if your brass is out of spec pre and post full length resizing).
