Hey All

I am looking into finding a light to put on my Glock 22 What are the good and the bad? I am looking at spending $200 to $250 on it. Possibly to be used for a few courses. ( hopefully).
Also where the best deals are for the said light.

thanks

I bought a TLR-1 on eBay for about $120. Right now I think it's the best bang for the buck.

Personally I prefer the aluminium construction of the TLR-1/2, Surefire X200/X300 over that of the Glock GTL10/20 and the older Streamlight series.

Heard good things about the X300 but it's outa my price range. You should really consider the TLR series from Streamlight.

Also, another things to consider is whether or not you want a laser option. Moset of these lights have that option at a premium price.

M3X or M6X hands down. The polymere body blends flawlessly with the Glock's frame. Standard M3 & M6 are great...I own an M3 on my G21...but if you bump it up to an X series, you get 90 lumes of white light, instead of 60.

M3X or if you want the laser too, go with the M6X :)

Another thing is whether or not you mind the extra width that the light will add to the gun. Most of these lights use 2 x CR123 batteries. Some will arrange it sideXside and make the width of the gun much thicker while others are over/under which will maintain the slimness of the gun.

I bought a Surefire from CGN sponsor "Dave's Tactical". For the limited amount of online comparing that I did, he seemed to have the best prices. (He has other brands other than Surefire too). It also arrived here ridiculously fast!

Insight M3 or M6. The X series have more lumens but cost more too and I don't think you need the extra power. I have an M6 and I love it. You can have the M3 for around 90$ US and the M3X for around 120$ US.

Surefire X200 or X300
--the Insight lasers (PEQ-2A, PAC-4C, PEQ-15 etc. ) rock but their visible lights suck ass.

Be advised that G22's are not extremely light friendly...
