My father had an earlier Norwegian ".45" with the drop down slide release. Rougher condition when it went for auction. I found the slide release lever several months later when I emptied a different set of drawers. The auction house was kind enough to reunite the part with the buyer. But ... the OP's handgun is much nicer than what I had.
 
I'm so confused. A dirty bird on a 1911 whose model is 1914, made in '45, and metric!? My head hurts. does 11.25mm mean it's chambered in .45acp...or some other .45 caliber round?
