I've got a Radom P35. If anyone knows about these pistols and is willing to take the time to review some pics, I like to know for sure that it's not a replaca, etc. Thanks
Gary

I don't think the Radom's were cloned. The only negative thing about them in the production run is as WWII ran on the quality control of the Radom production suffered. And it shows in some of the latter examples.

Post some pics either here or in the milsurp section. With the number of members here, more than a few folks will be able to tell you exactly what you have. Others will just enjoy looking!

Hello

Nice Radom Rig you have there !!

My guess is that you have a Type II Vis 35 Radom. Type IIs have the following features: safety lever, laynard ring, no shoulder stock slot on the mainspring housing. Recoil spring & guide should be white. The fact that yours are blued could indicate late Type II production or replaced parts. The letter prefix in the pistol's serial number would help establish approximate production period.

Hope this helps a bit,
Mk

Clear pictures of any markings an the barrel/ slide/ frame and so on would help establish production ime. Barrel and recoil assy do not appear blued - more likely light effect.

Check for the serial numbers
- right hand side frame
- left hand side of the barrel lug - last three digits of the SN
- inside of the slide
- side of the safety grip

SJB200k - The barrel and recoil assembly are not blued, however, they do have the last three digits of the serial # on the frame.
As far as serial #'s, they all match up except I can't find one on the "side of the Safety grip". However when dismantling it to look for it, I did find the full serial # on the piece that pulls out the bottom in order to remove the safety grip. In order to look for the # on the grip I had to pull out the flat spring with 3 fingers on it. I had a very difficult time figuring how to get it back in correctly, but after 3 hours, I did get it right.
The stamping on the slide is "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35 Pat. Nr15567." then it has an eagle of sorts with it's wings apart and another stamp that looks like it could be 177, but it too small to really tell forsure. Then underneith that there is what looks like a Tri-plane, airplane with three wings, with WCA77 underneith it. Then just to the right of that is P.35(p)*. This is stamped quite lightly and is on a bit of an angle.

Hope this helps in Id'ing this gun.

Thanks again

Thanks to j-man, you can now view the pictures. Just scroll down a couple of posts.

thanks for posting some pics i have one of these and researched this extensively...i will be happy to help.also i know another collector he may be of help. most larger parts have last 3 digits of serial stamped on them. its the only issue you have to be worried about whether it is all original parts.but from what you described it looks original to every extent...check the grips. i have seen aftermarket ones as well and they look the same...on outside.

Using numbers quoted in the Berger book one can approximate production time to Q1 43
