What you have there are 8mm blanks, the wood tip aided in feeding....

They look like they might be Yugo....

Thats why the muzzle caps on Yugo Mauser are counter rifled, to ahred the "bullet"

To get the headstamps to come out clear, try the "macro" setting on your camera - looks like a wee flower, and tells your camera to focus on stuff that's really, really close.

My camera is to old too have a macro setting. Will be trying again for close up pics.
