i don't think it can be done- the lens assembly comes off on a camera and you put the teleconverter BETWEEN the lens and the camera to increase the magification- ie it uses another set of lenses - but you ALSO LOSE A COUPLE OF F-STOPS along the way- the scope is a one piece unit, and set up for an eye, not a camera
sure you can get camera mounts for scopes, but they're expensive as all get out- you want more magnification., go to a 4x12- i'm sure you've got a typo in there with a 4x9 in bushnell should read three x 9- or a varmint scope-
to do what you propose would need a mid-section that unscrews, and your extra lens system would screw in there- not on the objective like what you're thinking-
your magnification comes from the SYSTEM of lenses, not the lens on the end-
on astromical telescopes, you change power by 1) adjusting the eyepiece, or changing eyepieces- that's why your power ring is just ahead of your eyepiece
