All of the opperators I know run 10/22's overseas. They like the takedown version, because it is easier climb trees and crawl in tunnels until they reach their ambush point. The only problem is you need to shoot the enemy in the eye, but they train to shoot at bottlecaps, so this isn't that hard.;)

I just find it hilarious being that guy on a course with a 10/22 while everyone else runs ARs. That is really taking the road less travelled.

Norinco JW 20 for 200 bucks is a take down copy of the browning sure it's tube feed with 11 rounds but it works fine and takes down just as much as the ruger. I do have 3 ruger 10/22 so it really depends on what you like

Shooting in the eye crap is a bunch of bs aim small miss small. A 22lr has killed every single animal in north america sure its small and not as powerful as other rounds but for most things it works just fine.

22lr does dent propaine tanks (full of holes already) were everything else even most pistol rounds go through it fine.

It killed a mountain lion just fine when shot between the eyes put the paws down then toppled over and that was it.

Well, there's no secret to be being a good shot. You need to practice and build muscle memory... if all you can afford is 22lr, so be it :yingyang:

I would have used a 22lr upper (to keep the same fire control)...
