That's a pretty basic 870P.

In MY opinion, the things that bring down the value - no GR sights and Cylinder bore.

I bought my 14" 870P with Scattergun tritium sights with fixed MOD choke for $400 on here in 2008. Now, obviously times have changed. :)

Cylinder bore 14" barrels (not 'police models', but same thing) are a dime a dozen these days. The police receiver is worth the money, but the other stuff ain't that special.

My GUESS is that for $800, it wouldn't sell quickly. You can always check with Casey at Tacord... he sells a LOT of them, and might be able to tell you how much he'd charge for the same setup.

Just wondering what a rare Remington 870 Police Magnum NIB 14 inch with a Wilson 1 shot ext. would be worth . Wood stocks , cylinder bore , bead sight and of course parkerized as all police shotguns came . Never seen one for sale since Remington adopted their new policy .

Your not going to pull in the price of a 14" mossberg if that what your hoping for. Casey at tac ord will sell you a NIB remmy 870P 14" with a bead for around 900. hey has them in stock on a farley regular basis.

remington police barrels sell for 400 .00 and up if you can find one . i would say that the gun is worth a minimum of one thousand and could bring much more . you can thank Loyd Axworthy for the fact we can not bring in 14 inch barrels as i believe the Liberal government of the day managed to tick off the Americans over some foreign policy and the result was a ban on certain military equipment being exportable which included 14 inch barrels . do you believe Remington would not sell them if they could export them .

This is all factory Remington 870P . If you want anything else go Chinese . It's the cheapest .

That's not what I was saying... I understand it's 'all factory' - what I'm saying is that the 14" barrel isn't 'magical' because it's Remington. You can buy Dlask 14" barrels for just over $200, and they would be easily on par with the police 14" barrel. If it was MOD (or even IC) I believe it would be worth MORE than cylinder. Again, just my opinion.

The police receiver commands a premium (rightly or wrongly), but that barrel doesn't increase the value of the package into the stratosphere.

Post it in the EE for $1000 as suggested. I'm suggesting it will sit there for quite some time.

Wilson combat 1 shot extension is about $100 . Tac Ord is not affiliated with Remington BUT I didn't see any factory 14 inch barreled 870 Police on their website . Remington doesn't sell anything shorter than 18 " to civilian markets especially in Canada . Never handled a Mossberg but Remington has its share in police gun rooms for a reason .

No he does not have them on his web site but if you called him he may have them in stock. He can get them because he has an end user agreement with LE services that allows him to import 14" barreled 870P. That is the only way a dealer can import these ones.

Cheers

Last Factory 870P 14" i saw in the EE (a couple months ago) was $900 and it have Wilson combat ghost ring sights and one shot mag ext. So $800 for yours seems about right

I sold my last Remington 870P 14 inch gun brand new in box for $1000.00 in the last 30 days - if that helps at all.
